The Michelson Prize and Grants in Reproductive Biology
A Strategic Partnership
ACC&D is delighted to have an amazing partner in our efforts to advance non-surgical sterilization. The Found Animals Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, has launched the Michelson Prize and Grants in Reproductive Biology. The Michelson Prize offers $25 million prize to the first entity to provide a single dose sterilant for male and female cats and dogs. Through the companion Michelson Grants in Reproductive Biology, up to $50 million is available for grants to researchers working on promising approaches.
The initiative is arguably the most exciting thing to happen in our field. By offering this incentive for scientists to apply themselves to this work, as well as the funding to make that focus possible, Found Animals has made a great investment in the future of countless dogs and cats.
Researchers who have been working on new technologies but for other applications are now considering how their work could be applied to this challenge. During the coming months, ACC&D will be building our Resource page into an extensive library of publications so that researchers can get acquainted with this field.
ACC&D is proud to be working in a strategic partnership with the Found Animals Foundation, advising, supporting, and promoting this amazing program. Please join our e-mail update list (on right) to receive news about this initiative. You can also learn more through the links below.
