Ruby Leslie; Engagement and Strategic Consultant
Ruby Leslie serves as Engagement and Strategic Consultant for ACC&D, bringing significant experience in science communication, stakeholder engagement, and communications strategy. She helps ACC&D translate complex scientific research into compelling, accessible content that informs and engages global stakeholders and the public.
In addition to her role at ACC&D, Ruby has worked in international companion animal welfare, sheltering, behavior, and training since 2012, and has more than eight years of experience in communications, marketing, and fundraising. She is passionate about applying what she learns to help animal welfare and veterinary organizations improve their impact, whether through humane animal care, staff training, or more effective communications and fundraising strategies.
Currently, Ruby lives in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with her rescue cat, Marmalade. When she’s not working on animal welfare initiatives, Ruby can be found gardening, bouldering, kayaking up glacier rivers, or snowshoeing along alpine meadows.
